Anyone ever check out importing a vehicle? Wondering the cost / difficulty / time involved.

Once attempted to import from Costa Rica. It was a PITA. Gave up.
If it's from Central America, i know a legitimate shipper in Tampa.

Go read the articles referenced - there are several others out there online. Insanely easy - RoRo or containerized are both options. If you want a clean ride - and have sufficient pictures or a local rep to verify condition - then this is the way to go. However - while some may tout RHD as a feature - it most collector circles it is considered a lower valued ride. I have no desire to own a RHD - and would focus on countries that imported LHD. Also - traybacks are cool, but if I were spending that kinda bling I would want a mint longbed with headache rack and tailgate - but that's just me ;-)
Inversely - there are horror stories - you absolutely must understand what you are buying, the differences in markets (e.g. that 78 may have 4 wheel drum, etc.), weak spots and areas prone to rust, etc.
Are you still wanting a 45 after hearing everyone talk about how small the cabs are?

Mid life crisis??? You are not old enough for that to happen.... You just need a drug habit. THats it.... Something to pull you out of reality for a bit
